Due to increased demand for services 1300MEDICS is seeking to increase our pool of casual doctors in Melbourne and Victoria to work as part of multi-disciplinary medical teams at a major music and sporting events throughout the year.
Since 2008, 1300MEDICS has deployed a doctor lead model of care to events across Australia. We have continuously refined our practices and now have the industry leading model of doctor lead out of hospital care for high risk events in Australia. We are an ‘advanced’ license holder to provide event first aid services in Victoria under the Department of Health. This permits us to service high risk events and provide critical care interventions in an out of hospital environment.

- Fellow of College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (FCICM)
- Fellow of Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)
Advanced Trainees of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine that demonstrate significant retrieval or pre-hospital medicine experience are considered on a case by case basis.
This role is suited to doctors with an interest in pre-hospital, retrieval, event or austere medicine.
1300MEDICS prides itself on our extensive clinical governance framework which includes a dedicated Medical Director (FACEM & FACRRM) and Clinical Advisory Group. We also provide a 24/7 clinical consultation line for our clinicians to discuss cases and gather advice from a group of senior FACEMs.
Doctors are employed on a casual basis with work offered to suit your availabilities. All doctors are employed (not contracted) and are paid full entitlements including superannuation. Shifts are normally forecast months or weeks in advance. We supply uniforms for our doctors and travel/accommodation for remote or rural deployments. All medical equipment, consumables and medicines are owned, managed, and deployed by 1300MEDICS clinical operations team.
Our doctors are supported by a dedicated “Doctor Support Team” who work directly with the Managing Director and Medical Director.
